your journey
Your spiritual journey develops through the attention & efforts that come from attending your meetings and what you read or hear that resonates. Allow yourself to follow what's called for even when it might feel uncomfortable at first and cause you to stretch an unused emotional muscle.
This establishes a deep and subtle connection that opens communication with the unconscious allowing an inner knowing you can trust.
My role
I value integrity and the pursuit of challenging ourselves to "self" honesty. Honoring the Soul's path/journey for each human being is essential. It is so important to keep the focus on our own growth and journey...because what we encounter, face, and work through are particular to us.
It's supportive when we share similar struggles with people. We need a space we can be safe and get grounded.
These principles guide my sessions & workshops, ensuring that I stay true to my vision while respecting the people and world around me.
My story
"God calling"
MONA HETT
BA, MS, CLC
Mona's personal and spiritual growth journey began with 12-step meetings. Getting into them is truly a "God Story." One day a guy she was living with told her he was an alcoholic. Asking him what that meant, his response was, "It means you should go to AlAnon." Interesting answer, and not knowing what he was talking about, she asked some friends about it. There were two who strongly urged her to go and then helped find those meetings. She went without understanding why or what would happen there. Looking back, it was as if an invisible force or subtle energy was leading her. Mona later came to understand just how much divine intervention was taking place.
That was early 1984 and before the end of that year she was attending a few meetings every week, including ACOA, that she found helped enhance her exploration for opening to self-awareness and learning how to process the information and emotions that surfaced.
Mona earned her Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies in 1989 at The Ohio State University and a Master's Degree in Counseling Education from The University of Dayton in 1997.
In 1996 Gentle Wind Books & Gifts for Conscious Living opened in northeast Columbus. Mona was hired as part of the team when the store opened its doors and eventually led meditations in the classroom, ordered the tumbled stones, as well as the best-selling CD's. It was here she began learning alternative healing techniques and metaphysical philosophies and where she earned her Reiki training.
Mona has attended weekend trainings in the use of EFT and NLP. Later, she learned how The Emotion Code combines principles of unique healing processes with other skills she has accumulated and believes it is a very effective modality in the Evolving Soul practice.
Mona also completed life coach training, receiving certification from Life Purpose Institute in 2012.
Integrated Imagery Past Life Regression was an intensive certification program offered at Atlantic University in Virginia Beach, founded by Edgar Cacey. John Z. Amoroso, PhD, clinical psychologist in Philadelphia, taught this 3-part series. At the time, John was also part of the Atlantic University faculty. This form of past life exploration plays a powerful part in creating shifts for clients at ES. Mona completed this program in 2014.
You might say that SoulCollage® card-making puts the "soul" in Evolving Soul. This technique introduces and establishes a deep and subtle connection that opens communication with the unconscious and allows inner knowing you can trust. Making a card is a sacred and subtle way to process the emotions and situations of our life, past and present. Once a few cards are made, keep them in a decorated box or wrapped in beautiful fabric. Using them is a ritual that gives insight and comfort. My SoulCollage® deck is a vital source of groundedness and information even when I haven't used it for days or months. Mona received SoulCollage® facilitator training in 2019.
